Our principal violinist, Niklaus Vogel, studied violin, composition, and orchestral conducting at the music academies in Lucerne, Zurich (ZHDK), Bern (HKB), and at Berklee College of Music in Valencia.

Niklaus Vogel is an active violinist and, in addition to his freelance chamber music activities, plays regularly in the Bern Chamber Orchestra.

In addition to the classical repertoire, his musical interests also include exploring cross-genre music productions in the broader context of jazz, folk music, and new music. This is reflected, for example, in his collaborations as a violinist and composer with Swiss accordion virtuoso Daniel Thürler, the Kühne(r) Vogel collective, Andreas Lareida's Agorà Ensemble, and DJ and electronic producer Pablo Nouvelle.
